I hit up the neighborhood bar last night. I met a character, the epitome of a character, by the name of "Ray." He apparently has a fat (phat?) severance package from Pfizer and has decided to drink the rest of his life away. The guy spoke Latin, had a full mustache, bought us two rounds of drinks (Jager), and entertained the hell out of me. He shared words of wisdom with us before we parted ways and promised to come to our first musical gig.

Jim Jones is fucking ill and I'm not talking about Jonestown. I don't listen to hip-hop that much anymore but there is something so over-the-top about his personality. Nothing exceeds like excess.

I'm getting used to the feeling of not having a blinking red light anymore. It is liberating and at the same time funny to be replaced. I rather enjoy it to be honest. When that old saying, history repeats itself, is tossed around liberally people tend to lose sight of what it means. It means something fuckers.

Someone opened the door for me a year ago and I walked through it and slammed it in his face. Not on purpose but because I was sucked into a scene, jaded, and disillusioned. It was a fun ride and I gained a wealth of knowledge but I wasted a lot of time as well. I got out without losing my mind. Now, I have passed the torch on and the dominos fall in place again. The real villains are the ones who have always been there. One thing is certain; I'm probably never going to listen to MGMT unless I'm a victim to circumstance. Kids find the Time to Pretend and the rest is just an Electric Feel because The Youth is starting to change which means the sophomore album isn't going to be so good.

I also said have the advance copy of Scott Weiland's new solo project in my hands. My first impressions are a mixed bag but I think the album has the potential to grow not fade.
