Spiritwalker Love Cult
Friday, December 4th, 2009I’ve waited two months to write my semester paper for my History 152: America Since 1865 class why not delay it another two hours? It’s due tomorrow and today turned to tomorrow 12 minutes ago.
I’ll take this time to point out how much I enjoy the following two songs by The Cult. Why do I cherish them so? The answer is simple, memories and cowbell.

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009Lou Reed doing something Lou Reed would do… Playing ‘Perfect Day’ in Prague to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.
He is also reuniting with members of The Velvet Underground (sans Cale).
Sold out.
My ears are still ringing from The Dead Weather’s show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg last night. They kicked ass and I got Jack White’s towel.
Blah blah blah
Pixie Dust in New York City
Tuesday, July 28th, 2009Twenty is my lucky number. I enjoy the number in general. The Pixies are going on tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Doolittle by playing the whole fucking thing in its entirety.

Sunday, July 19th, 2009Weekend recap. Friday the weather was bleak and set the tone for The Dead Weather concert at Terminal 5. It was musty, foggy, and was reminiscent of being in a cadaver laboratory. Yes, I have been in a cadaver lab. Yes, I have played with the insides of a human being. Yes, I did enjoy it. It’s all very lovely.
The show was nothing short of spectacular. I loved it. My neck hurts. My only qualm was, once again, the lack of movement by the crowd. Dance motherfuckers. Dance. You don’t even have to dance, just tap a foot or something. A lot of patrons were just dead but after awhile it didn’t matter because Alison Mosshart and Jack White shredded the stage to bits’n’ pieces.
No comment on the rest of the weekend that has yet to end. I have a couple note cards filled with, you guessed it, notes that are reminiscent of the folding back cover of MAD magazine. Remember those?
Last evening I viewed The Friends of Eddie Coyle. Ballin’ on the 1970’s gritty-crime film circuit.
Famous Last Words
Friday, July 3rd, 2009Austintatious: Huqleberry is back
Austintatious: Do you want to be a part of it?
Lars: Haha wow gimme a day to sit on it
Austintatious: Ok
Lars: U just don’t dive into something as abstract as Huqleberry without first weighing the consequences and repercussions
Austintatious: There aren’t any
Lars: Famous last words
Austintatious: Haa
You might be right but right now it doesn’t matter. I would like to direct your attention to this record. Don’t ridicule Mick Jagger because he had a successful solo career. And just because you see an abundance of his records in dollar bins around the city DOES NOT mean it’s crap. It just means it hasn’t been appreciated. It was the fucking 80’s man, if you don’t believe me watch the video.
